Brendan Sexton

Brendan Sexton is a 25 year old full time triathlete who has aspirations of representing Australia at the Olympic Games in London 2012 and Rio de Janeiro 2016. After 10 years in the sport Brendan has progressed from the junior ranks and has represented Australia at World Championship level for seven of the past eight years, three of which were at the elite level.
Based in Melbourne, Australia, Brendan spends up to 6 months of the year abroad racing and training in the short course Olympic format around Europe, North America and Asia. Usually travelling with fellow Australian and Victorian Institute of Sport athletes he is constantly working towards his ultimate goal of achieving the title of the worlds' best.
Brendan has had great success throughout his professional career including winning the 2010 USA championships, a silver medal at the World Championships at the Under 23 level in 2007 and gold in the Australian & Oceania U23 championships in the same year. He also won the 2007 Triathlon Australia 'Emerging Athlete Award'
Brendan's commitment to achieving his goals are uncompromising and a full time dedication. In 2011 all of his focus is solely on gaining selection for the 2012 Games and subsequently preparing for the competition in London.
